We just watched 35 minutes of #TronAres , shown in 3 sections.
The opening was fun! A really solid introduction into this new world of Tron, setting up the tone and atmosphere in a way that felt fresh but still very “Tron.” The music was absolutely fantastic by @nineinchnails, that electronic pulse that makes the world feel alive, and the CGI was masterful throughout.

The middle section we saw was a chase set within the game world; fast, energetic, and very cool to watch. It had that classic Tron energy of high-speed chaos with a modern edge. Then we jumped to what I’m guessing was the final sequence of the movie. That scene was okay I’m obviously not connected to any of the characters yet, so it was hard to feel the stakes but as pure spectacle, the action set pieces were dope.
Evan Peters as Chat Fee is a real highlight. He’s eccentric, unpredictable, and every time he’s on screen he owns it. Easily one of the most interesting parts of what we saw. Jared Leto as Ares feels commanding and mysterious there’s definitely something intriguing about where his character is headed.

Right now, none of what we saw really connects back to Tron: Legacy, which I think a lot of fans will be looking for. Hopefully the full film will bridge that gap, and maybe even bring back Jeff Bridges’ Kevin Flynn.
Overall what we saw was fun, stylish, and full of energy. I can’t say if the full movie is going to be great based on these chunks, but the action, visuals, and music definitely have me hopeful. Tron is back, and it looks bold.
