I Was Invited to Play Jurassic World Evolution 3 Early — Here’s What Happened

As a lifelong Jurassic World Evolution fan, getting invited by Frontier Games to London for an exclusive first look at Jurassic World Evolution 3 was surreal.

The moment I walked through the doors, I could feel how much love and detail had gone into the event. Massive banners, themed lighting, and actors dressed as Jurassic World staff running around they even staged bits of chaos to make it feel like a real park under pressure. It honestly felt like stepping into the movie itself.

And yes… before anyone asks, I do have platinum trophies in both of the first two games. So this was a big moment for me.

A Tour Straight Out of the Movies

Before touching the game, we were taken on a tour through a fully recreated Jurassic World lab experience. There were displays of plant life, a map of the park terrain system, and containment fences that looked straight off a film set.

The idea was to make you feel like a park manager in training — learning about ecosystems, dinosaurs, and how the terrain ties it all together. It worked perfectly.

The Secret Underground Base

Then came the big moment: we were led into a “classified” underground base where we got to play the game early.

And not just early we were some of the first people in the world to actually play Jurassic World Evolution 3.

Building the Park of My Dreams

I’ve loved the first two games, and I’d never bad mouth them, but they always felt like they were missing that extra layer of freedom.

That’s gone now.

The new park-building system is on another level. You can sculpt every inch of your environment carving valleys, raising cliffs, flattening plateaus, even creating bridges and water features exactly how you want.

Frontier’s clearly listened to player feedback. Early reviewers have pointed out how these new systems make the game “feel limitless,” and they’re absolutely right.

For the first time, your park doesn’t just look like everyone else’s. It feels personal.

Exploring, Experimenting, and Causing a Little Chaos

Once I got comfortable, I really started experimenting.

I paddled out in a boat to explore the park from the water, tested the new AI by making two dinosaurs battle it out (because of course I did), and even built a rock bridge to link parts of my enclosures.

I spent ages scrolling through the dinosaur roster — it’s loaded with fan favourites and a few exciting surprises I won’t spoil. The models look incredible, the lighting feels more cinematic, and the detail in the environments is stunning.

But the moment that completely blew me away?

Creating a dinosaur baby.

Seeing a juvenile dinosaur moving through the enclosure, interacting with adults, and actually growing over time that was special.

It’s the one thing I never realised the series needed until I saw it. Watching life literally find a way in your own park is the perfect touch of magic.

The Outbreak (Of Course)

And, in true Jurassic World fashion, the event didn’t stay peaceful for long.

Suddenly, alarms blared, lights turned red, and staff started sprinting through the room shouting about an outbreak. Totally staged but totally awesome. It was the perfect nod to what this series does best: a bit of chaos in paradise.

Talking with the Team

After things calmed down, I spent time chatting with the Frontier team and some of the developers. You can tell how much they care about this franchise — everything from player feedback to fine-tuning dinosaur behaviours was discussed with so much passion.

They said their goal was to make Evolution 3 the ultimate sandbox for creativity and storytelling and after playing it, I believe them.

FinalThoughts

This whole experience reminded me why I fell in love with these games in the first place.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 isn’t just a sequel it’s the game we’ve been waiting for. The freedom, the realism, the baby dinosaurs… it all comes together to make something truly special. A massive thank you to Frontier Games and Jurassic World for inviting me.

This was a dream day for any dino fan, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience it.
